The “Sure! We’ll finish the job – Victory Liberty Loan” propaganda poster was used during World War 1 in the U.S.A to encourage contributions by the workers to the World War 1 war effort.
The U.S.A entered near the end of the war and played a key role in ending the war. Victory bonds were used to encourage contributions to the war effort by those at home. It is also worth noting that the main protagonist in the poster is wearing a liberty bond, which were circulated prior to Victory bonds. This was part of a number of victory bond posters, the “Americans Victory Liberty Bond Poster” is also available in our collection.
This poster is part of our collection of war bond posters from both world war 1 and 2, these were published in numerous war torn countries around the world.
